2017 AFS Best Student Presentation Symposium – Deadline March 17!

Attention Students,

 

The deadline to be considered for the Best Student Presentation Award at the American Fisheries Society Annual Meeting (Tampa, FL,  Aug 20th – 24th) is Friday March 17th.

 

Students wishing to be included in the Best Student Oral Presentation must:

1)      Self-identify during the online abstract submission

2)      Upload both a standard AND an extended abstract.

3)      Arrange for your advisor to submit an e-mail to the  symposium co-chairs indicating that the study is at or near completion

 

Students wishing to be included in the Best Student Poster Presentation must:

1)      Self-identify during the online abstract submission

2)      Upload only a standard abstract

3)      Arrange for your advisor to submit an e-mail to the  symposium co-chairs indicating that the study is at a stage appropriate for consideration for this award

** No extended abstract is required to be considered for the Best Student Poster Presentation. **

 

The Best Student Oral Presentation Symposium will be held Monday (8/21) morning and afternoon and the Best Student Poster Symposium will be held on Monday (8/21) evening. Award recipients will be announced at the AFS Business Meeting. Attendance is required at the AFS business meeting.
